2015 Occupational Health & Safety GHS and OSHA label requirements

GHS 2015 Update: By June 1, 2015, all manufacturers, importers, and employers must be ready for GHS -- they must comply with new label requirements and Safety Data Sheets by that deadline. OSHA revised its Hazard Communication Standard in 2012 to require employers to adhere to elements of the Globally Harmonized System for the Classification and Labeling of Chemicals, setting deadlines for worker training and for the labels and SDSs, along with new requirements for information the labels must include: signal words, hazard statements, pictograms, and more.

This presentation will discuss this fast-approaching deadline and the GHS implementation problems many workplace safety and health professionals are encountering.

Enterprise Software No More Memory Squeeze - SYSPRO 7

With new functionality in SYSPRO 7 it was time to squeeze some more memory out of our application servers through optimizing the multi-threading capabilities of the SYSPRO WCF Service.SYSPRO 6.1 pushed the boundaries of memory in the SYSPRO e.net Solutions environment, with some customers posting thousands of transactions per minute. Performing all those transactions took a toll on the performance of the SYSPRO application server and in particular the server memory.

The SYSPRO WCF Service is essentially a wrapper around the Encore.dll, the COM (Component Object Model) gateway into SYSPRO data and extensively used by SYSPRO Espresso, SYSPRO Workflow services, SYSPRO Server Reporting as well as third party developers.
