Class Action Lawsuit Against ERP Software Company

In an era when you must be able to rely on your ERP software to manage your business competitively, having big problems with enterprise systems is not what you were counting on. Yesterday’s news about the Class Action Lawsuit against EPICOR was a bit deafening. It leaves users unsure and wondering if they will have an ERP system tomorrow. Or worse, who will own the software next and will it survive in the merger/acquisition, be orphaned or dropped entirely. Then the users will be forced to buy or adopt yet another ERP system. Not exactly what they expected to have to deal with in this economy or time of the year.

What is happening with ERP software in industry? Why are these companies forced to get rid of legacy systems that once were the hallmark of ERP software? Our guess is they failed to give the customer what they want, were promised and paid for. Setting new paradigms is difficult.
