Class Action Lawsuit Against ERP Software Company
In an era when you must be able to rely on your ERP software to manage your business competitively, having big problems with enterprise systems is not what you were counting on. Yesterday’s news about the Class Action Lawsuit against EPICOR was a bit deafening. It leaves users unsure and wondering if they will have an ERP system tomorrow. Or worse, who will own the software next and will it survive in the merger/acquisition, be orphaned or dropped entirely. Then the users will be forced to buy or adopt yet another ERP system. Not exactly what they expected to have to deal with in this economy or time of the year.
This lawsuit reminds me of other articles about more ERP software companies:
What is happening with ERP software in industry? Why are these companies forced to get rid of legacy systems that once were the hallmark of ERP software? Our guess is they failed to give the customer what they want, were promised and paid for. Setting new paradigms is difficult. In an entrenched industry of "that's the way it has always been done", this is no longer acceptable.
We have been talking about changing the ERP Paradigm for years. Informing customers they don't have to accept what they are being "sold". There are alternatives, really good ones too. We know, because SYSPRO ERP, with over 14,000 companies worldwide running their enterprises successfully, in over 60 countries, has been our product of choice for over 20 years. No installation is perfect, no software is perfect. But SYSPRO has been in the ERP business over 30 years, independent, and delivering Enterprise Reliability with high quality software.
Did you know that SYSPRO continues to receive awards for its ERP software?
SYSPRO was in the news which said they had recently received another award.
